Storage for every workload

From backups and AI training data to media archives, research data, and logs, every workload runs on the same S3-compatible buckets at one flat rate per TB.

Backup and disaster recovery

A drill or a real recovery pulls everything back out, and elsewhere that is billed per GB. Here reads are free, and object lock keeps backups from being deleted before their term is up.

  • Object lock in governance or compliance mode
  • Version history in versioned buckets
  • Restores and drills bill nothing extra

Published list rates in USD, checked 23 September 2026. Storage and egress only: AWS S3 and Cloudflare R2 also charge per request, which is not included. AWS S3 uses its tiered eu-west-1 rates after 100 GB of free egress a month. Backblaze B2 egress is free up to 3× your average stored amount, then $10/TB. Wasabi egress is free under its reasonable-use policy, which expects monthly egress to stay below your stored amount, and Wasabi bills a 1 TB monthly minimum with a 90-day minimum storage duration. Regional pricing may vary.

Getting started

Up and running in four steps

Whether you are starting fresh or moving data from another provider, all you need are the S3 tools you already use.

01

Create a bucket

Pick the region, and turn on versioning and object lock if the workload needs them. Both are set at creation.

02

Mint a scoped key

Grant one bucket or all of them, only the operations that service needs, with an expiry date if it should lapse.

03

Point your tools at it

Your region's S3 endpoint with path-style addressing. No SDK to swap and no rewrite.

04

Move the data

rclone, the AWS CLI, or any S3 library. Multipart upload handles the large objects.

Frequently asked questions

Fil One speaks the S3 API, so you keep the SDK and CLI you already use. Point it at your region's endpoint, switch on path-style addressing, and authenticate with a Fil One access key. Everyday object work behaves the way your code expects: put, get, head, list, delete, presigned URLs, and multipart upload from your own SDK.

Buckets are private by default. For the operation-by-operation detail, including the calls that differ between regions, see the S3 compatibility reference in the docs.

Read Fil One docs, access the app to get started with no code required, or talk to someone on our team to get started.

Objects are encrypted at rest by the storage gateway using AES256 (SSE-S3), and every request runs over TLS. It is on by default with nothing to configure. Keys are held by the regional storage operator that fulfills your bucket's region, so if your policy requires you to hold the keys yourself, encrypt client-side before upload with the standard S3 tooling and Fil One stores the ciphertext. Our services are delivered through top-tier data centers that are certified to ISO 27001, SOC 2, and PCI DSS standards. Reach out to security@fil.one for compliance documentation or any other security questions.

After you create an account and provision your first bucket, migrating to Fil One is straightforward with our S3-compatible interface. Integrate directly into your codebase with any S3-compatible SDK, or migrate your data with a single AWS CLI command.

Enterprise teams who want more hands-on support can work directly with our team through every step of migration. Reach out at sales@fil.one to get started.

Egress is any data transferred out of your bucket: to the internet, to another cloud, or to your own servers. On a paid plan it is free at any scale, and there are no per-request charges either. The 30-day trial includes 2 TB of egress.

Billing is $5.99 per TB stored per month, with no fees for egress or API operations, subject to a $5.99 monthly minimum. Store under 1 TB and you pay the minimum; store more and you pay per TB for what you use.

Yes. Teams with predictable storage needs can talk to us about multi-year committed capacity. Talk to sales and we will put a quote together.

You choose when you create the bucket: Europe (France) or US East (Michigan), with more regions on the way. A bucket's region is fixed at creation, so data written there stays there. Each region has its own endpoint, and an access key is scoped to a single region.

No. Fil One is S3-compatible object storage. It does not support IPFS retrieval or content addressing via CIDs. If you need IPFS pinning or CID-based access, take a look at Filecoin Open Cloud (FOC).

Public buckets are not currently supported. To share individual files, you can generate a presigned URL from the dashboard or via the S3 API. This gives time-limited access to a specific object without making the entire bucket public.

Fil One is S3-compatible, so tools like rclone work out of the box. Point rclone at eu-west-1.s3.filonecontent.com with your Fil One credentials and sync your data across. If you need help with a larger migration, reach out and we'll guide you through it.

Not currently. Billing is in USD. If paying in FIL is a hard requirement, get in touch and we can explore options depending on your storage volume.
